The first set of fireworks were launched from the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
It was well worth waiting for - you have to find a place to sit at around 5pm, otherwise all the best places are gone.
The vantage point was excellent, near Mrs. Maquaries Point with clear views of the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge from where some of the fireworks were launched.

Thefirework show went on for 20 to 25 minutes non-stop.
Afterthe fireworks the bridge was lit up with the word 'Peace' and a dove lit up in the center section of the bridge. What a great night.
